Chanel Fall Couture 2014
“The word couture implies cutting and seaming. There was none of that here. Everything was molded rather than seamed. “It’s Haute Couture without the Couture,” said Lagerfeld, tongue firmly in cheek.” Style.com
With every collection Karl Lagerfeld produces, the more I love him. To me, he is filling the very missed places of Alexander McQueen & John Galliano when it comes to fashion shows, putting emphasis on the theatrics. At either end of this catwalk were huge fireplaces stoked with digital flames and above the mantel, a big old baroque mirror. Setting the scene for more than just a fashion runway but a fashion show.
